The Center of Cypriot Composers with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Culture and the Embassy of Italy in Cyprus, organizes a music concert with chamber works by Cypriot and Italian composers with the Italian Trio Clementi.
The concert will take place on Friday, October 20th at the ARTE Music Hall, Nicosia at 20:30.
The Trio will present works by:
Francesco Pennisi, Aldo Clementi, Giovanni Sollima, George Stavrou, Michael Andronikou, Evagoras Karageorgis, George Papageorgiou and George Hadjimarkou.
The Clementi Trio was founded in 2016 and is composed of Vanessa Grasso on clarinet, Chiara D’Aparo on cello and Giulia Russo on piano.
The Τrio is dedicated to the memory of the famous Sicilian composer Aldo Clementi. The three musicians have a solid personal background behind them, made up of master classes, participation in competitions and various and diversified musical experiences, from chamber music, to orchestra, to stage music. The ensemble is characterized by the uniqueness of the repertoire proposals, aimed at enhancing Italian chamber music and the contemporary repertoire, all colloborated by intense research. The sonic refinement of the Trio is combined with a great musical and human affinity.
The Embassy of Italy in Cyprus supports the concert on the occasion of the XXIII Week of the Italian Language in the World (16-22 October 2023) which is held every year in the third week of October, “Under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic” .
