National Translation Awards 2021

The Embassy of Italy informs that for another year the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism is awarding the National Translation Awards. Applications must be submitted from the 1st to the 31st of March 2021. Further information is available in Circular 1 of 27 January 2021 (in Italian language). The Circular defines digital methods and relative terms for submitting applications.

The prizes are as follows. Four major prizes to be awarded respectively to:

1 – a translator in Italian language of one or more works from another classical or modern language or dialect;

2 – a translator in a foreign language of one or more works in Italian language or dialect;

3 – an Italian publisher for works translated and published from another classical or modern language or dialect;

4 – a foreign publisher for works in Italian language or in dialect translated and published into other languages.

Up to four Special Prizes in recognition of the high cultural, professional, technical and methodological contributions made in the context and/or in support of the translation activity of works already conceived in another language or dialect.
