FIGHTING CLIMATE CHANGE: YOUNG PEOPLE PARTICIPATION TO “YOUTH FOR CLIMATE” PROGRAMME – CALL FOR SOLUTIONS

Y4C Call for Solutions 25

Italy promotes the involvement of the younger generations in programs to fight climate change. The “Youth4Climate” (Y4C) initiative, launched in 2021 during the PreCOP in Milan, thanks to the collaboration between the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has become permanent and has already achieved remarkable goals, funding projects in 52 nations and involving thousands of young people from vulnerable countries.

In this context, the project “Call for Solutions” was launched and is open until May 26th 2025. It is aimed at young people between 18 and 29 years old who wish to submit project proposals in the following thematic areas:

  3. Climate and Health – Impacts of climate change on public health.
  4. Digital for the Planet – Digital technologies for climate resilience.
  5. Climate, Peace and Security – Climate action in conflict contexts.
  6. Nature – Nature-based solutions for adaptation and mitigation.
