The Embassy of Italy in Cyprus is pleased to announce “Kairos/Limitrofi: solo lo spazio ricorda”, a bi-personal exhibition by the artists Stefania Pennacchio (sculptress) and Vassilis Vassiliades (painter), curated by Jean Blancheart.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on May 3 at 18.30 in the presence of Ambassador Federica Ferrari Bravo and the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Cyprus Michalis Hadjiyiannis.
In February an artist residency was held by Stefania Pennacchio in Cyprus with the support of the Italian Embassy for the creation of the sculptures in view of the event.
The exhibition will be hosted at the Kastelliotissa in Nicosia space and will remain there until 16 May.
On the 5th of May, in Kastelliotissa, will take place the conference “Kairos/Limitrofi – Solo lo spazio ricorda. Confronto tra Greci d’Oriente e Greci d’Occidente”, in the presence of Italian and Cypriot institutions and personalities. On the occasion of the conference, the second edition of the publication “Kairos/Limitrofi: solo lo spazio ricorda”, published with the support of the Italian Embassy in Nicosia, will be presented.
The international event “Kairos/Limitrofi – Solo lo spazio ricorda. Confronto tra Greci d’Oriente e Greci d’Occidente” arrives in Cyprus after the previous two stages held in Syracuse and Athens.
