Essays: summer residence for foreign translators in Italian at Lonato del Garda (Brescia) – Ugo da Como Foundation

The Ugo da Como Foundation (, established in 1942, is a private institution based in Lonato del Garda (Brescia) that promotes study among young people and deals with the conservation of historical, book, archival, artistic and architectural collections.

The Foundation has signed an agreement with the Centro per il libro e la lettura (, an autonomous institute of the Ministry of Culture (MiC), with the aim of encouraging the translation of Italian books abroad, especially as regards the translation from Italian to German, French and English.

The call assigns n. 6 places reserved for German, English and French translators for the month of July 2022 at the Ugo da Como Foundation. There are two translators per mentioned language, except for French since one place is reserved for a translator of Algerian nationality.

Applications must be sent by e-mail to the Ugo Da Como Foundation at the address no later than 31 March 2022.
