The Embassy of Italy in Nicosia is delighted to announce the upcoming 8th edition of the Week of\u00a0 the Italian Cuisine in the World, an annual event celebrating Italian culinary traditions. This year’s edition will take place from 13 to 19 November 2023, with the theme “Dining with Italian cuisine: Well-being with taste”.<\/p>\n
The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World aims to showcase the connection between the Mediterranean diet, which is widely recognized as a healthy and high-quality diet, and overall well-being as a lifestyle choice. The event will feature a range of activities organized by the Embassy and the ICE Agency, Italian Trade & Investment Agency in Beirut<\/a>, with territory competence on Cyprus.<\/p>\n The focus of this year’s activities will be on sustainability, as well as the labelling of food and wine products. In line with these themes, the Embassy is pleased to welcome Mrs. Maria Cristina Cecchini Saulini, a renowned Italian chef who has collaborated with several prestigious Italian companies. Mrs. Cecchini Saulini’s extensive gastronomic experience and creativity will be showcased through innovative dishes inspired by this year’s theme.<\/p>\n Among the highlights of the event, Mrs. Cecchini Saulini will participate on November 13th<\/sup>, in CyBC\u2019s daily morning TV program “Omorfi Mera<\/a>“, where she will create a dish that represents the theme of the Week. She will also conduct a MasterClass for professionals in the industry and advanced-level students at the University of Nicosia<\/a>. Additionally, she will engage in a live cooking show at the Alphamega\u00a0 Outlet<\/a> of Engomi in Nicosia, providing visitors with the opportunity to learn from her culinary expertise (15 November 2023, open to the public from 16:30-18:30). AlphaMega is currently partnering with the Italian Trade Agency for the promotion of authentic Italian food products in Cyprus. As in previous years, various restaurants, wine bars, and gourmet shops across the island will collaborate with the Embassy, offering menus inspired by the Week’s theme.
