<\/a><\/p>\nDuring the last\u00a0few years the political dialogue between the two countries, which was already intense, has become even closer. There have been several official meetings of government representatives both in Italy and Cyprus. All meetings and discussions have always taken place in a friendly atmosphere and they were all oriented to achieve concrete results.<\/p>\n
Moreover, in this period several important\u00a0bilateral agreements have been achieved allowing a further boost for cooperation between the two countries in a wide range of sectors, such as organised crime, environmental protection,\u00a0 navigation\u00a0and promotion of\u00a0cultural and scientific\u00a0cooperation. Of particular importance the cooperation in the field of archeology, with several Italian missions present on the Cypriot territory, and the diffusion of Italian culture and language, which attract more and more people. Even the economic relations have undergone a remarkable growth over the last few years, with Italy now being one of the most important\u00a0partner of Cyprus.<\/p>\n
In addition, the dialogue with the Turkish-Cypriot community is also very intense and dynamic facilitating Italy to undertake any useful action to find a solution to the Cyprus problem, which is of primary concern also for our country.<\/p>\n
