On the occasion of the reception held to inaugurate the Italian Honorary Consulate in Limassol, Ambassador Antonella Cavallari extended her best wishes to Honorary Consul Antonella Mantovani, whose professional experience makes her a solid point of reference for the Italian community in Limassol and Paphos, as well as for the Embassy itself.
Born in Limassol to an Italian father, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in History and Modern Languages from the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom), and subsequently a Master of Arts in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium).
Antonella Mantovani, a highly regarded professional in the tourism sector, was elected in 2016 as Representative of the Latin Religious Community in the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus. On 30 March, having received the exequatur from the President of the Republic of Cyprus, she formally assumed her duties as Honorary Consul of Italy in Limassol – with jurisdiction over the districts of Limassol and Paphos – and, in the presence of the Ambassador of Italy to Cyprus, Antonella Cavallari, delivered the solemn oath of office.
Ms Mantovani is therefore fully operational and ready to carry out, under the supervision of the Italian Embassy in Nicosia, her important functions in providing assistance to Italian nationals residing within her consular district. We are confident that she will devote the utmost commitment to her duties and we wish her every success in her role.
