The Embassy of Italy in Nicosia announces that the Italian Ministry of University and Research has published the “Procedure per l’ingresso il soggiorno, l’immatricolazione degli studenti internazionali e il relativo riconoscimento dei titoli, per i corsi della formazione superiore in Italia valide per l’anno accademico 2023-2024” (Procedures for entry, stay, enrolment of international students and related recognition of qualifications, for higher education courses in Italy valid for the 2023-2024 academic year”.
On the basis of these provisions, Italian higher education institutions require the following documents:
a) final secondary school qualification obtained after at least 12 years of schooling, or a substitute certificate for all legal purposes; alternatively, and at the discretion of the individual institution of higher education, the final qualification may be accompanied by a certificate issued by the Italian ENIC-NARIC center (CIMEA), by certificates from foreign official bodies or by a Declaration of value;
b) certificate attesting the passing of the academic eligibility test possibly required for access to the University of the country of origin (for the Republic of Cyprus, the Pan-Cypriot exams);
c) any translations into Italian of the documents indicated in points a) and b);
d) any other documentation requested by the university, also with reference to verifying the truthfulness of the foreign qualification.
