Call for proposals on the cultural heritage of the Republic of Venice in the Mediterranean

Call for proposals on the cultural heritage of the Republic of Venice in the Mediterranean

As stated in its publication on January 28th, the Veneto Region has opened a call for proposals concerning interventions to restore, preserve and enhance the cultural heritage that dates back to the Republic of Venice in Istria, Dalmatia, and the Mediterranean region. This call rests on the broader legal framework established by the Legge Regionale no. 39, in force from September 25th, 2019, that aims to promote and co-finance projects that are compatible with its purpose.

In this regard, Cypriot public and private institutions, local entities and volunteer associations could make positive contributions to this initiative. In particular, among the pre-defined range of projects that can be submitted, there is also: the publication of relevant scientific works through the translation of historically significant volumes; investments for the restoration of important architectural or historical artifacts; or the production of research papers on unpublished archival sources and volumes.

As for the prerequisites, only non-profit entities will be taken into consideration and participation should be in partnership with entities whose registered office or headquarters are in Veneto. The application should be submitted in Italian. Documents concerning for example the economic and financial plan should also be attached, as well as the letters confirming the partnership between the entities. These documents can be downloaded from the official webpage of the call. The deadline is on April 28th, 2022 at 1:00 pm (Cypriot time).
