The Italian Embassy informs that the Ministry for Cultural Activities assigns national prizes for translations. The deadline for submitting applications is 28th February 2019. More information is available in Circular 9 of 14th March 2011, as well as in the dedicated section of the MiBAC website (http://www.librari.beniculturali.it/it/Attivita/premi-nazionali-per-la-traduzione/).
There are four prizes, to be awarded respectively to:
1 – a translator in Italian of one or more works from another classical or modern language or dialect;
2 – a translator in a foreign language of one or more works in Italian or dialect;
3 – an Italian publisher for works translated from another classical or modern language or dialect;
4 – a foreign publisher for works in Italian or in dialect translated into other languages.
